Careers

Our high standard of care and facilities are due to our committed and loyal staff. We take great care in recruiting staff with the “right” values, who have empathy for the elderly and who can fit into the Paxton Hall culture and ethos and be part of our caring team.

Staff turnover is low compared to the care sector generally and senior staff are mostly dedicated carers who have risen through the ranks and have many years of professional experience.

From time to time we do have vacancies for care assistants and for cleaners and kitchen staff. We offer competitive rates of pay, a comprehensive training programme, caring people to work with and an excellent working environment.

We are an equal opportunity employer.

Training

All staff who are new to adult social care must undergo an induction training programme resulting in a The Care Certificate.

Staff are encouraged and supported to upgrade their skills and qualifications.  This is done via in-house training including on-the-job supervisions, webinars, online courses on our training portal, and external courses run by accredited training providers.

We have a dedicated training room which is equipped with audio visual aids. In addition, there are several computer workstations scattered around the home which can be used to access online training.

Staff without relevant qualifications or experience in care are trained on the job before they can work unsupervised.

You are cordially invited to visit us at Paxton Hall if you are you are looking for a home for either yourself or someone close to you, You can visit us unannounced on Monday to Friday between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM or by prior appointment with the Administrator for any other time. This will enable us to ensure there is a senior person around to answer your questions.
